This oven baked bacon savors the same great bacon flavor. This method of cooking bacon saves you time as you multitask making other favorite foods for your crowd. This less mess oven baked bacon recipe is simple, no turning or baby sitting the bacon while you watch half of it get eaten off the plate before you.

The question remains: What isn't good with bacon? Let me know in the comments!

Bacon makes life better like on this Cobb Salad, Bacon Burgers, Omelettes, or Quiche Lorraine. Any bacon lover will remember this time saving hack so they can focus on their main dish.

Reasons you'll love bacon in the oven:

    • Clean - bacon destroys your stovetop, however, bacon in the oven doesn't splatter
    • Convenient - no need to flip bacon or hoover over a bacon grease filled skillet
    • Happiness - less frustration when you or your helpers have eaten half the bacon before the meal
    • Flat bacon - the bacon doesn't curl in the oven

    Ingredients

    • Bacon - Uncured bacon does not have sodium nitrate added. USDA Organic is non-GMO fed. Center Cut has less fat. Turkey bacon can be cooked using this method.

    See recipe card for quantities.

    Instructions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Prep a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Line choice of bacon on parchment without touching other slices of bacon.

Place into oven and cook for 15-20 minutes for regular bacon or turkey bacon. Cook 20-23 minutes for thick cut bacon.

Place on a paper towel-lined plate. (this photo has both turkey bacon, on the left and thin sliced bacon on the right.

Hint: You can replace foil instead of parchment paper. However, the bacon will stick to a baking rack even if it is non-stick.

    Substitutions

We used half turkey bacon and pork bacon. Turkey bacon cooks slightly faster and may need to be taken out 2-3 minutes sooner.
