Ingredients for the Best Pico de Gallo
- Tomatoes - any tomato will work here. We like on the vine tomatoes.
- Cilantro - use fresh cilantro.
- Onion - your choice of onion here. We like a yellow sweet onion or purple.
- Jalapeños - remove the seeds and ribs from the jalapeño.
- Lime juice - use fresh lime juice. Bottle lime juice doesn't taste well in this recipe.
- Garlic - optional.
- Salt - optional.

Instructions for Authentic Pico de Gallo
Dice tomatoes, chop cilantro, onion and jalapeño. Juice lime. Mince garlic, if using. Mix tomatoes, cilantro, onion, jalapeño, lime juice, garlic, and salt in a medium bowl. Let sit overnight for full flavor.

1 Jalapeño pepper
¼ cup Onion
1 clove minced garlic, about 1 teaspoon (optional)
2 Tablespoons fresh Lime juice, from one Lime
½ teaspoon Salt (optional)
1 cup chopped onion
